The Insomnia Guide: What is it? How to deal with it?

I have struggled with sleep since I was about 5 years old, and typically when I'm filming and editing these videos, it is in the midst of the night when everyone else is sleeping. So here I've decided to break down my definition of insomnia, what I personally deal with and how and what I do to cope with it. My Favorite Mask of 2017

Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask

What the company says it is?

A luxurious cooling mask infused with unique botanicals to soothe and hydrate dry skin. Doubling as a rich night cream, its powerful ingredients help revive a dull looking complexion. Specially created to protect from over-exposure to the elements it also serves as an ideal solution for jet-lagged or wind-chapped skin.

How do they recommend using it?

Apply a generous layer twice a week over clean skin on face and neck. Leave on from 10 to 20 minutes and gently sponge off with lukewarm water, the skin will absorb most of it. You may choose to leave on overnight for increased results. Rinse off in the morning.

$84 (US)

Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Aqua/water/eau, Glycerin, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Ppg-15 Stearyl Ether, C12-20 Acid Peg-8 Ester, Coco-caprylate/caprate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Saccharide Isomerate, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Chlorphenesin, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Chondrus Crispus Powder (Carrageenan), Bisabolol, Panthenol, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax, Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Flower Wax, Narcissus Poeticus Flower Wax, Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Peg-8, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Tocopherol, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ascorbic Acid [citronellol, Geraniol, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, Eugenol]

What I Love about it?

I love how this instantly reduces my redness, and I find myself using this mask 3-4 times a week.  How I use it personally is that I put a thick and generous amount on my skin.  I leave it on overnight and wash off in the morning, most of this mask absorbs in.  I think leaving one for 20 minutes is a waste of product, keep it on.  I can see this being amazing for flights.  They should totally make a travel tube version, I love the jar but a travel tube version would be AH-MAZ-ING.

Will you buy this again?

HELL YES! I will buy this again and again.  It's affordable, it works, and it calms my skin like nothing else I have ever tried.  I am in love with this Mask!  I rank this my best mask of 2017 and beyond!

Who is this good for?

Compromised skin.  Whether that means dry or just sensitive, this is for you.  If you're oily but your skin isn't inflamed, then maybe you should do a different mask, but this could still be beneficial in a dry or skin chapped season, I would still buy this for emergency situations or travels.  It's not very oily, as I have an oily forehead and this doesn't make it any more or less shiny.  So I deem it safe for moderate skin oil breakthrough.

MOVEMBER - Men's Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention

Hey guys, this month, I will be raising money to help Men's Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention.  Please follow my links below and help us raise awareness in the month of November.  Thank you all.

Tomorrow marks the start of MOVEMBER, an initiative very close to my heart for many reasons.
Suicide is one of the number one cause of death in young men.
Many of us know someone whom suicide has impacted.
Almost all of us know someone battling with mental health or personal issues which impact their lives.
Movember is aiming to reduce the global rate of suicide by 25% by 2030 and I couldn’t be happier to do my part to help out!

Around 1 in 4 adults in the United States will experience a mental health problem in a given year.

3 out of four 4 suicides are men.

What can we do?

Talk. Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

Battle of The Mascaras

In today's Battle, we have Estee Lauder's Pure Color Envy Lash: Multi Effects versus Lancome Monsieur Big.  Both of these are new launches for both brands, and I wanted to see which of two luxury brands had a better effect on my lashes.  Before we begin, and let me disclaim, I cannot guarantee that you'll share my opinion or experience as we all have different preferences and different lash types, so with that being said, let us begin.

My Lash Type

  • Straight, Straight, Straight and fine.
  • My needs: weightless definition and volume at the roots without clumping or looking overly "fake".

Why These Formulation Specifically?

  • Lauder says their mascara will give all effects because the brush has two types of bristles, a molded silicon comb and a traditional brush for volume, for a complete custom experience.
  • Lancome promises big bold volume.  The brand also took survey to what woman wanted in a mascara. Creative director, Lisa Eldridge (my favorite makeup artist ever),  took heed and assisted in the development of this formula
    • SO ANYONE THAT CLAIMS I'M BIASED BECAUSE I WORK FOR LAUDER, IF YOU KNOW ME, KNOW I LOVE LISA.  So I chose these formulations based on my equal internal bias for both brands, albeit for different reasons.

The Test

For both formulations I decided to curl my lashes and use the respective lash primer before each mascara (basically to avoid industry jargon/advice, in incident if I had a negative result, to use a primer beforehand, I beat you to that argument).  I wanted the best effect possible, so primed my lashes for perfection.  I let both primers semi-dry before mascara application, just so all effects could be duplicated, not favoring one versus the other.

Monsieur Big

  • One coat was more than enough to darken all of my lashes
  • The application was comfortable and the lashes didn't feel too heavy
  • This mascara is super, duper black and bold
  • Brush was a bit too big for my eye and got mascara on my lid and brow bone.  I had to clean with a cotton swab because I looked a hot mess
  • Lashes were a bit clumpy and stuck together too much, had no definition, made my lashes look almost bald
  • Formula felt a bit sandy or dry. Hard to explain, it seemed to get very thick very fast and almost resisted brush out
Overall, I felt this didn't do much to complement my lashes.  I would use this again, yet I would use a clean wand or lash separator comb to take out the clumps, and/or wipe the brush clean of mascara before application and build the product more gradually (Yet, really it should just work straight out of the tube).  This may be better suited to someone with naturally more defined or thicker lashes.  I felt as if it made my lashes look very dark and dramatic, with the downside it almost made them appear more sparse.  I just don't think it was designed for my lash type.  Also if you notice it ruined my curl and weighed my lashes down (most mascaras do this to me, so it isn't the only one).  However, I do think a lot of woman would love this, especially if they like dramatic looking lashes.  This does deliver in that department.  If I had falsies or more lash, I think I would've loved this.  I guess it's Definicils for me.

Pure Color Envy Lash: Multi-Effects

  • Unique brush concept, one side is a molded comb and the other a traditional brush.  The theory is the molded comb gives definition and the brush side gives volume.
  • Coloring is black but not so black that it looks overly artificial or jarring
  • Thickens lash roots very well
  • Didn't overly weigh down curl

  • Brush was also a bit big for my lashes and got on my lids (maybe too much product on the brush because it's new, but still, it should just work)
  • I felt like the brush design could have been better, it's not bad, but the formula seems better than the brush (and typically it's the other way around).
Overall my review is this, I feel this mascara performed better for my lash type; however, I still don't think it's best suited for my lash type.  Like the monsieur big, this one only slightly performed better and I believe it's because the brush has two options.  Here is where it gets confusing:  the molded comb is supposed to give more length and definition and the brush more volume.  Well, I found the opposite to be true.  I found the brush side did a better job at separation and the molded side gave more thick (somewhat clumpy) lashes.  This mascara also didn't kill my curl and gave good volume at my lash root.  Yet as I said, was still messier than I would like.  (Sumptuous Knockout and Double Wear Mascara in my opinion are better for my straight lashes).

Final Verdict

Both mascaras left me a bit unsatisfied for my lash type; however, I could see woman loving both of these formulations.  If you have straight unmanageable lashes like mine, I would find other formulations in both brands that would better suit you and could give you what you need.  However, I would use these both again, but with a lash separator comb.  I found the formation of the ENVY LASH by Lauder was more nourishing and easier to apply than Monsieur Big (which to me felt more resistant and thicker) -- gave me Tammy Faye lashes -- and the ENVY mascara, also made my lashes stick together but had a more flattering effect on my eye shape.

So the winner of this battle is a DRAW.  But if i had to choose one it would be the ENVY LASH, mainly because of the flattering effect and the easier, less messy application.  I wish these both worked for my lash type, but hey, with the right comb, anything works.  Yet with the applicator as is, they both just aren't right for me.

Thank you for listening and remember if you disagree or these work amazingly for you, then YAY!  I still would suggest these to most woman because both formulations are great and give great volume!  Give them a try!

Now on to continue my quest for the #1 Mascara.

Let the battles continue.

There comes time in all of our lives when you lack motivation for one reason or another, and here I came to explain to you what has been going on and why I have been away from YouTube lately. I mainly did this video to reinvigorate myself to film again. I felt if I filmed myself unedited and honest it would be like a sense of therapy for myself. So here I talk about: millennial problems, finances, starting over at 30, career and life struggles. My Favorite Luxury Moisture Cream - Battle of the Creams

Battle of the Creams: The Search For The Best

So it's been a few months since testing a few luxury creams out for a spin and I'm here to give you my honest verdict on the products.  Between Dior Prestige, La Mer Soft Cream, Lancer Nourish, Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Regenerating Youth Cream, and Givenchy
L'Intemporiel Global Youth Sumptuous.

And the winner to no surprise is: Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv.

And I know what you're going to say, you're biased because you work there.  And No, because to be honest I used to think luxury creams were a waste of money and that one couldn't see that much of a difference between them and the lower level creams in each brand.  And I was proven wrong in two ways, one: you most definitely see a difference (not just on your bank account, but the skin responds so well), and two: Re-Nutriv is so far advanced in the realm of treatment moisturizers and they seem to account for all areas of the sensorial experience.

Before I tell you why I love the cream, let me break down why I found the others to not become my new favorites.  Firstly a little about my skin and concerns.  I am 30 years old, male, and have normal to combination skin (dry cheeks, oilier forehead and redness prone).  I do not have a tendency to breakout or be reactive to skincare products.

1) La Mer Soft Cream
  • WHAT I LOVED: Lovely luxurious texture and scent.  Works well to moisturize the surface of the skin and overall keeps skin calm.  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It made my skin feel shiny and slightly clogged up.  5 hours in, I was still shiny, and the type of shine where you can see your reflection, not just glow.  I have tried their matte products, but I mean if it's for moisture, why bother matte, don't we want the GLOW! I know I do.  But the soft cream shine was out of control on my skin.  Beyond that it was a solid cream, I did find on shaving days, it slightly burned over my freshly razored skin, and I feel like my skin seemed more red than usual with this, but that could just be all the shine.
    • I would use this again, but more of a night only.
2) Dior Prestige
  • WHAT I LOVED: Nice rich texture and lovely rose smell. Makes skin smooth to the touch. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It feels heavy but within 3 hours, I need a spritz of rose water or something to keep my skin moisturized.   My skin felt smooth, but I feel like you can achieve that with silicones, because it was soft, but felt dehydrated.  I definitely feel like this cream was designed to be used as a system, but even with all of my layers, this just wasn't enough moisturizing enough. Goes to show you that just because it's thick, doesn't mean it's going to give long term moisture.  If this were a gel cream, this may make more of a difference. Dior please add a gel cream, that penetrates better and gives more comfort instantly and long-term.
3) Givenchy
  • WHAT I LOVED: Giving this away.  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: I just really did not get on with this cream, it left my skin sticky and red.   I hate the texture.  Loved the sound of it.  Givenchy recently launched a newer version with a rosey coloring and called it a youth cream, that one is far superior to this one.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
4) Lancer Nourish
  • WHAT I LOVED: Everything, the texture smell and results.  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: This cream doesn't have all the bells and whistles and just doesn't have enough bang for the buck.  But this was my second favorite and will definitely stay in rotation with my creams.  It's in my top 10 for sure.
5) Re-Nutriv
  • WHAT I LOVED: The smell, the technology, the results, the longterm moisture.  This is a cream that you can apply once a day and then for three days your skin feels great.  I love everything about this cream, I just wish I had enough money to always have it on hand, but one day.  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:  No travel sizes, and that the jar is gold.  I liked the older silver color jar for Ultimate Lift, but that's aesthetic, that's just me.  Yet it's growing on me.

Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Regenerating Youth Cream

Who is it good for?

Anyone with a normal to dry skin who loves luxurious textures and a good solid proper moisture cream.

Age Range?

40+ (only because of price, but anyone can use this, if you're breakout prone, you should be good, but use caution it does have shea butter and doesn't claim non-comedogenic, plus the texture is rich)

What makes it special?

The most advanced Re-Nutriv science is found here and it features extracts from two plants that survive and thrive in the world's harshest climates.  This is paired with the patented Ionic water, which creates a highly bio-available water that mimics nature's dew in it's purest form, infused with Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium & Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Technology.  The processing and science here are pretty amazing.

Estee Lauder thought of it all with this cream from how it smells, to how it feels, how it instantly makes your skin look, and sustained longterm moisture + repair.  You can tell this was a true labor of love.

When do I use it?

Nightly or when my skin needs a boost, but I love this texture, I alternate it in as often as I can.  It's a true luxury for me.

Midweek Pick Me Ups

H u m p  d a y  f a v s

Hey guys! Hope you're having an awesome week.  Since it's Hump day, I wanted to celebrate by sharing my favorite mid week pick me ups to keep you glowing.  So without further adieu, here we go:

Skin Treats

  • Advanced Night Repair Power Foil Mask by Estee Lauder
    • This mask is my abosolute favorite when skin is feeling less than glowy and you just need an instant pick me up.  The mask leaves my skin feeling plump and ready to receive any treatments I am going to put it through.  This mask is especially good if you overdid it with your vitamin C and retinol treatments and need a quick dose of anti-irritation and moisture barrier repairing.
  • Dr. Lancer: Advanced C Radiance Cream - Vitamin C Collagen - Cofactor 10x
    • One of my new favorite additions to my skincare regimen.  Use this as a treatment so in the serum stage of application.  It contains 10% vitamin C, which helps with resurfacing, collagen boosting, and skin tone brightening/evening.  This product is also water free, so the Vitamin C stays stable, comes in pump application (yay) and contains retinol.  So this is a great, and fairly inexpensive treatment to repair the look of skin.
  • Dr. Lancer Polish
    • Need a good exfoliation. This is a very good physical exfoliant, use prior to cleansing to clear away dull skin, and be gentle.  When used properly, this exfoliator leaves skin glowing and soft, without a dry, tight feel.
  • Estee Lauder Ultimate Lift Regenerating Youth Serum
    • Hydration. Lift. Great concoction of reparative oils.  Amazing serum when your skin is lackluster and you want serum that has all the juice and no fluff.

Gabrielle by CHANEL - My Newest Fragrance Obsession

 was created around four
points of light from four white flowers: Orange Blossom,
Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine and Grasse Tuberose.
Olivier Polge crafted the perfect white flower.
The only flower that could embody the unrestrained
femininity of Gabrielle Chanel herself.

This fragrance is truly beautiful and captures the essence of a rebel heart perfectly.  I feel that Chanel did an amazing job with this scent and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fresh, sensual, but also a bit reserved.

Does it last?

Yes and No.  I prefer fragrances that fade as the day progresses, my theory being, I like to wear multiple scents for various occasions.  For example, my date night fragrance will be different then my work fragrance, and so would my in the heat scent (especially in LA with the 111 degree heat).  So for me, I like wearing maybe 2-3 different scents and I don't want to have to shower in between all of these "wardrobe" changes.

Like a fashion show with many different looks, I too prefer options and change throughout the day.

With that said, this fragrance lasts on skin for about 4 hours at it's most potent and then 5-6 at clean skin finish scent.  I still smell better with this, than without.

What occasion would you wear this for?

On days you want compliments, and possibly a date night.  It all depends on who you are trying to impress that day.  For me, this is the days that I am impressing myself.

Do you layer?

Yes indeed.  Today I wore it alone, yet it smells amazing and unique with anything light or citrus.  So my personal favorite layering is as follows:

1) 4 sprays of Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Skin Scent
2) 2 Sprays of AERIN MEDITERRANEAN Honeysuckle
3) 2 sprays of Gabrielle Chanel

^^ I know this seems overkill, but all these scents are light and do not compete with one another.

Worth the price?

Priced in the US at $135 for the largest size in an Eau de Parfum.  I say this is a go.  And it's affordable and beautiful.

You're a dude! Isn't this a scent for Females?

I wear whatever I want and this smells amazing on me.  More men have asked what cologne I'm wearing overtime I wear this and woman always say I smell great.  So I mean if it works.  Get your sexy on.  Gone are the days of Gender Separation in the fragrance world.

Growing Up Gay in a Straight Man's World

Changing from my usual format, I wanted to write about my personal experiences of growing up as a gay man in California, and some of the challenges that arose with that and how my story, though may be vastly different from most, may in turn help another going through coming out, or questioning his or her sexuality.  First and foremost, this isn't the forum to debate the following: "gay as a choice or gay as born this way" "the morality of gays" "what the bible has to say" or another personal belief.  So please respect me, and my blog by keeping this commentary either to yourself, or message me privately and any of my social media outlets.  Thank you.  The purpose of this post is to just share about my personal experiences and to encourage and support others.

Growing Up

At a young age, I knew I was different - and by different, yes, I mean I knew I was attracted to the same gender.  I found something very alluring about the male physique and also felt a deeper connection with certain friends that I didn't find in the opposite sex.  I knew from about age 6 or 7, maybe even before then, but it wasn't prevalent until around 4th Grade.  At this age my interests were different from most boys my age, and my mannerisms were also quite different.  I enjoyed spending more time with my grandmother, and could careless about sports, cars, or anything that most of the boys my age would occupy time with.  When it came to how I acted, I was sensitive, emotional and clingy as a child.   I even recall teachers meeting with my grandparents about my sensitivity level, and how I needed to "toughen up".  I recall my first experience noticing I had feelings other than normal amiable friendship feelings towards boys on a bus ride when I was in the 3rd Grade.  I sat with a kid of whom was also portrayed as different from the rest of the boys, and he was being ridiculed and called a "sissy" by other classmates.  I chose to sit with him and ask him how he was doing and what TV shows he liked to watch.  I remember him explicitly saying, "I like you" and kissing me on the cheek.  I felt embarrassed in that moment and didn't know how to react, so I moved to another seat, my face beat red.  This moment in time is one that I never discussed with anyone, because being so young, and also witnessing how people would draw so much emphasis on boy and girl relationships and one day getting a girlfriend, I didn't want to be outcasted or called sissy by the other kids in school, so I retreated.  I remember feeling that day, how nice it felt to have someone say that they liked me.  It's something that even to this day, I remember this so much because it was the first time I felt a genuine sense of who my authentic self was.  It was liberating and scary all at once.  This day is also the day that I realized that other's opinions, at the time, were very important to me.   After that day, I didn't see that boy in the bus again, and I have no idea what happened to him.  I do recall the ridicule was pretty intense for that age, and he may have been transferred to another class, I do not quite know.

Home Life

Home life for me, was very normal as a child.  Well, as normal as it could be, being raised by my grandparents.  However, for the longest time, even at home, I felt like certain feelings I could not share.  Being that both my uncles would live with us from time to time, I remember there being such an emphasis on being manly, and one day growing up to have a girlfriend, and ultimately a wife.  I felt that masculinity was very important in the household.   And with this overtone being in the air, I felt like a huge disappointment to the men in the family.  My brothers enjoyed working on cars, playing sports and doing "normal" boy things and I felt like they always wanted to participate when my uncles and Grandfather would work on the cars, etc.  And here I was playing Xena the Warrior Princess and Power Rangers on my own or with neighbor friends.

High School & Coming Out

In high school, and middle school, I felt even more of a disappointment when I took a liking towards gymnastics and cheerleading.  I felt this was the final nail in the coffin for them questioning what outcome this was going to lead to.  There is a stigma that cheerleaders and gymnasts are all gay.  Which though there are many who are, this isn't completely true.   For many years I would defend myself as not being gay, because at that age I wasn't sure what I was, but I knew I had to defend the honor and integrity of the sport (but now looking back, I'm like why does sexuality and sport have anything to do with one another).  I tried dating girls, and found that though it was pleasant, I wanted nothing more than friendships with females and felt anxiety about the feelings of forcing myself to do something because it was the socially accepted way of doing things.

So when did it all change?  Well, it was the Spring of 2004 when I met a cuban guy named Sunel, who was on Van Nuys High School Cheer, and he would attend practices at the same location of my all star cheerleading gym. He admitted a crush on me, and though flattered, I turned him down.  Then that night I went home and could not get the thought of, "how could he do that and why would he think I am gay? Do I look gay? Are boys attracted to me?"  and I pondered this the whole night.  It ate at me, and I remember the year before when I started having conflicting feelings about men and woman, that I made a pact with myself.  I would not pursue a sexual relationship with a man, without first, sleeping with a woman.  And I remember even praying to God to let me fight the urge of my "gay thoughts".  This obviously didn't happen.  The next day I called Sunel and told him that I would be interested in seeing where things would go, but I cannot promise anything.  This led to us hanging out, kissing, and from that point forward dating.

Almost instantaneously, I came out to my friends and those closest to me, my cheer coaches and team.  To some it was a shock, and to others it was an "I told you so" moment in time.

The hardest part for me was coming out to family, which I go in to full detail in a YouTube video.  Which I will link below, in interest of time and to avoid excessive repetition.   Just know with this that is does get better, for most.  And if it by any chance doesn't when it comes to family, then realize those who love you in this life, are your true family.  And if you need me, I'll be there.

Fast Forward To Current Times.

My life now is vastly different, and the social stigmas aren't felt as deeply.  Yet we are not out of the hot water, and the horizon isn't always clear.  In my short time on this earth I have seen the negative, nastiness that humans can inflict upon each other.  And my message is this, please have understanding for others, and an open mind.  Just as you cannot change or choose your race or genetic makeup, do not assume that LGBTQ+ people can choose their sexuality.   To this day I hear men casually joke "that's so gay" or "what a fag" when describing or offending others and I need people to understand that this is not okay.  It's truly hurtful, and it could damage those around you who may be struggling with sexuality.  Be kind to others and end bullying, or at least have a voice and stand up for each other.  Teen suicides are increasing year by year, and many of which are apart of the LGBTQ+ community.  Most could be avoided if these kids were not made to feel like they weren't loved or accepted.  My message is also to the LGBTQ+ community.  Please accept one another, and to not transfer hateful messages on to one another.  We are all we have in this world and community is extremely important.  Before the world can change, we need to change.  Before the world can love us, we need to love each other.  Please stand with your LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters and instead of focusing on body image, cliques, social status, dating apps, or whatever fixations that separate us; take the time to get to know each other and support each other.  A Pride month is great, and a Pride festival is good and fun, but it's not enough.  Spread love and open up to one another.  Make your heart the home of your LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters.  I vow from this day forward to be more open minded to others and to put their thought and feelings in to account.   If you or someone you love is struggling with identity, or feeling accepted, please note that I will always be here to support them in any way I can.  My contact info is in the bar to the right of this post.  Thank you all for reading my ramblings, and I appreciate your time invested in supporting me and my blog.

Until next time.

Live Each Day Fully & Spread Love

To address the state of the world at the moment, with hate being perpetuated at every corner, I wanted to deviate from my normal blog style to just remind everyone to cherish those they love and live each day fully.  We cannot control the evils in this world, but we can do is not let evil have power over us. We should grieve for those lost in senseless attacks, and learn from each situation that arises.  Let go of prejudices and hate for one another, and just focus our hearts on love and compassion.  Without evil there could be no good, and all things in nature work in balance, so with that in mind, please do your part in ensuring that balance is achieved.

The media as of late has only been the bearers of bad news daily, and it is our responsibility as the human race to rectify the sins of the past and live in the moment, and in this moment, I personally am committing to love and compassion for my fellow man.  We need to really look deeper within ourselves and question, "why are we doing this to our self?"  What benefit is there to hate, racism, oppression.  The answer lies in supremacy, greed, personal interests of those in power.  We may not have the power to stop them at this time, but we can choose to not let that same hate consume us.  Don't give in to the anger and revenge feelings that are so natural to us, because this would not solve a thing.  Instead focus on ways you can make a positive change in the lives of others, help where you can and love each other.  Our time on this world is so short, and so trivial in the grand scheme of things.  We cannot waste time, especially in the modern era, with hating one another.

The world is a messed up place that needs to be healed, but each revolution began with a single voice, and a single action.  So please do your part in bettering this world.  I choose love, compassion, awareness, and will fight back by not letting hate and revenge consume my thoughts and actions.  This is not to say that we shouldn't take action to stop those perpetuating hate and evil, but we cannot focus on revenge.  Each day we wake is a blessing, we never know how much time we have, appreciate the Earth and all of its inhabitants and stop this senseless acts of evil.  We are one blood, one flesh, one force.  Stay connected.

Until next time.
