Today at work I decided to invite Amanda (a fellow co-worker) over to my counter to play with new shades on her beautiful pale skin. Amanda expressed to me that she had combination skin with occasional oily break thru and that concealer wasn't working well for her.
In this look I used all Estee Lauder products, and was inspired by giving her something different than what I usually see her wearing (felt like taking her away from her comfort zone). Amanda has beautiful hazel-y green eyes and I felt that the Double Wear Pencil in Burgundy Suede would be perfect for giving her an instant memorizing eye look.
We prepped the skin with Advanced Night Repair and used Double Wear BB Glow SPF 30 in 1.0 as her foundation base (buffing with foundation over current makeup). I concealed under eyes with a mixture of Double Wear BB Glow in Soft Pink (this shade brightens pale skins like no other highlighter I have used) and Double Wear High Coverage Concealer in Light (cool) [a full coverage cream concealer with a 15 hour wear]. For her eyes I used Double Pencil in Burgundy Suede and then used an angle brush to create a 'Kitten Flick' to give the eyes an instant lifting pick-me-up. I smudged a matching shadow from a Pure Color Intense Trio.

For the crease of the eye I mixed the two darkest shades and then blended the lightest shadows over the edges of the shadows.
To complete the eye look, I applied the new Estee Lauder ENVY single shadows in Cheeky Pink to the inner corner of the eyes and over the lids to create a subtle sparkle and shine, followed with Sumptuous Extreme Mascara in Black.

For cheeks I followed a classic C shape to sculpt and liven the skin with Pure Color Electric Pink.
For lips I wanted to keep it simple and used the ENVY lipstick in Impulsive to give a softer, neutral pout.
To finalize the look and cut shine, I applied Perfecting Loose powder with an eyeshadow blending brush to areas of shine and over concealer to set.
Amanda looked beautiful, and expressed to me that she felt confident and good about her makeup. It was lovely to work with her and have accomplished giving her a look that steps her out of routine in a way that doesn't make her feel uncomfortable.
